Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains, I moved to the Pacific Northwest with my young family in 1977. My work as an artist reflects my love for the natural world, the places that I've traveled both locally and abroad, buildings and wooden boats. Our family spent many weeks and weekends boating through the San Juan and Gulf Islands. The serenity and breathtaking beauty of these voyages provide a common theme for many of my paintings. The watercolor painting above, "Storm is Coming", was inspired from the countryside around my Mom's home town in southwest Colorado.

While my inspiration comes from my travels and the natural world around me, my motivation to create and share my work with others comes from my love for God, the Creator of all, His daily provision and guidance in my life. This is the quiet under-current in each of my works.
